Happy BDSM

Everyone knows that BDSM is always super serious; submissives suffer with tormented looks of anguish on their faces while sadistic dominants look on with stoic, stony gazes.

NOT! BDSM is fun- we wouldn't do it if it wasn't :) There are plenty of pictures that portray fantasies of reluctance, force, non-consent, obedience, pain, and misery (or, conversely, arousal, desire, contentedness, transcendence, and spiritual awakening) . . . here's a little niche for pictures that capture the joy, happiness, silliness, giddiness, the smiles and the laughter.

:/  I like the idea, but clicking through I’m not so impressed by the lack of image crediting.

I try to post a source for every image I find outside of Tumblr; reblogs from Tumblr are essentially using Tumblr as the source (I do not remove credit if credit is there, although it often isn’t).
If any of my followers ever see a post not credited and know where it comes from, please let me know and I’ll update it- everybody deserves to have their work credited to them, and that’s particularly true when it comes to the less common content this Tumblr posts.

Thank you for being so understanding :)
Although, no, Tumblr is not a source.  Tumblr is as much a source as Wikipedia is.

Yes, I do agree with you that Tumblr isn’t a source, but it is the only source one can point to if content posted there isn’t attributed.  My basic protocol is to always post the website from which I cull any content; it may not be original to that site, but I merely want to cite where I found it (with the [sadly often unfulfilled] expectation that said websites are doing the same, so that optimally, every image can be traced back to its creator(s)).
I’m glad to be having this conversation, though- like I mention in the guideline for submissions, I want to see sources, and I’m happy to note that in all of the reblogs of Happy BDSM that I have clicked on so far, I’ve yet to see someone removing credit or links.  (Shoutout to homoarigato as well for taking the time and effort to cite all the sources for each image that was made into the composite for this original promo!).

I loved the idea of smiling into a bit! And I had mine just a few feet away… (ps, have you laughed into a bit? it’s ridiculous enough to make you giggle even more)

Anonymous asked: I have seen the "Safe Space Network" list on my dash going around, so I wondered... are there any similar tumblrs for BDSM? I mean non-pornographic ones that are about discussing, informing, advising...

Answer:

To be quite honest, I’m sure I’ve seen a few here, but none are coming to mind at the moment.  Followers?
